I rated this product with 3 stars only because I have not had an opportunity to really use the product. I did try the DVD with a widescreen tape and the viewing area is very small and the picture quality was not perfectly clear, perhaps it will be better with a standard screen play DVD. The overall construction is very high quality and the inputs allow the unit to be linked with an on-board computer. The major reason for purchasing is the corrosion protection and 12 volt operation.
