I chose this TV because most reviewers, including Consumer Reports, rated the Sony Bravia's picture quality very highly, although they criticized the set's ease of use. I have owned one for a month, and set it up originally before the transition to digital TV, so I had to rescan after Feb. 18th. I really had no difficulty doing either. Reception is good even with the old rabbit ears that I'm using, and I am extremely pleased with the picture quality. A pretty good state of the art television.
The sound seems ok to me. There were no stickers on the face of the screen on the set that I received.
Negatives: picture seems a bit "soft" at times--likely due to the quality of the input signal. Viewing from a side angle is poor.
My, how much space this thin set technology gives you back on the night stand compared to the old CRT televisions.

Sony Bravia W-Series KDL-46W4100 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

The television has a beautiful picture. However, in the Rockville, MD area the tuner does not recognize Comcast digital HD channels 4.1 (NBC) and 9.1 (CBS)and SD channels 4.2, 4.3 and 9.2. These are not in the list of available channels when the show/hide list is displayed. Sony sent a technician to replace the tuner, but the problem was not corrected. Sony has not provided a solution. Sharp Aquos LC65D64U 65-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I was so excited to get my new TV. Had everything setup. Set the TV to scan for all available channels. The process of removing channels was horrible. Unlike Sony where you just click add/delete in this Sharp TV you have to go through the menu and delete each channel. Hate it. Then I get to a few channels where I can see the picture perfectly, but I can't hear anything. That's strange because all the other brand TV at home can get those channels with sound perfectly even Vizio the brand I hate with its poor quality picture and a control that only works if you angle it towards the far right. What gives. Sharp is suppose to be a better brand. They need to work on their digital tuner especially the sound. I contact Sharp but have not heard back from them yet.

I have only had this television a couple of weeks but it had a excellent picture and nice features.
I have been told by people who viewed it "that is great clarity".
Sound on the tv itself is no so great but can't expect much from small speakers in a plastic cabinet, todays receivers were obviously meant to be connected to a amplifier, then you have great picture and sound.

I had been thinking about getting a new HDTV for months, and I can't tell you the number of times I added this one to my amazon cart before ultimately chickening out.
