Samsung PN58A650 58-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV with RED Touch of Color

We received our Samsung pn58a650 plasma tv 4 weeks ago. Have not experienced any problems so far and have been quite satisfied with its performance. The h-d channels delivered by Comcast cable service are outstanding although the std definition side of the tv is a little grainy. At times the stretch function does distort the image on std definition but nothing too drastic. Overall this tv has the best picture quality I have ever seen especially for a tv this size. Have not experienced any issues with glare even though it is mounted in very bright room.

Remote has a short range and has to be pointed at the tv for it to get it's signal across.

Sony Bravia M-Series KDL-19M4000 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black

Sony's 19-inch Bravia TV produces an outstanding picture in HD, but it is the sound quality that distinquishes it from the other very good TVs. This set replaces a 12 year 15-inch Sony, that sits on a kitchen counter, and we wanted the new HD set to have the same rich, warm sound. Other small screen sets seemed to have the tiny, cheap speaker sound. The remote is very user friendly and easy to use.

But there is one knockdown. Although the screen is only 19-inch, the wide frame makes the set much bigger. The set is kept upright by a small leg in the back, very unstable. Buy Sony Bravia M-Series KDL-19M4000 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black!

Panasonic Viera TC-37LZ85 37-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

This 37" HDTV (LCD) was very easy to set up and test. Only problem is that the remote control and several key buttons that were problematic. Several keys only work intermittently and some not at all. Panasonic Tech Support was quite helpful, though, and walked me through diagnosing the problems, and even taught me a few things about the remote that aren't in the user manual. He gave me directions on how to ask for a replacement remote and open a case # for this problem. And I even got a follow-up email on this Case.
