Sharp Aquos LC46D64U 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I was so excited to get my new TV. Had everything setup. Set the TV to scan for all available channels. The process of removing channels was horrible. Unlike Sony where you just click add/delete in this Sharp TV you have to go through the menu and delete each channel. Hate it. Then I get to a few channels where I can see the picture perfectly, but I can't hear anything. That's strange because all the other brand TV at home can get those channels with sound perfectly even Vizio the brand I hate with its poor quality picture and a control that only works if you angle it towards the far right. What gives. Sharp is suppose to be a better brand. They need to work on their digital tuner especially the sound. I contact Sharp but have not heard back from them yet.

I just bought this product and I was so excited to receive it today. Try to hook up but this TV has only HDMI input and I wasn't able to plug into my cable box. I went to store to find right cable and they found out that this is HDTV Monitors. Eventually I need to call cable company to get HDTV receiver which cost more than 100 bucks. You should named this product as TV MONITOR not just TV. need High Definition Multimedia interface which I didn't know. JVC LT47X579 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

My family has enjoyed this television for the past two months. My wife even enjoys watching the news programs now since they are in beautiful HD.

I made my selection after doing some careful side-by-side picture comparisons at a local warehouse store. I generally prefer a matte-like screen over the shiny ones that many of the models have these days since our television screen is opposite from some bright windows and I wanted to keep reflected glare on the screen down to a minimum.

I knew that there would be situations at home in which I would not be sitting directly in front of the screen so it was important that the screen image be clear even when viewed from off to the side and I tried to duplicate such a situation when viewing the various models on display in the store. To my eyes, the JVC had the best screen image when viewed from such an angle. In terms of overall picture quality, the only one out of the displayed models from Vizio, Sony, Sharp, etc. was the one from Samsung. I chose not to purchase the Samsung model since I had a bad experience with a computer monitor manufactured by that company and was never able to speak with a live customer service representative to discuss my problem. In addition, the Samsung model had the shiny screen that I felt would reflect too much window glare.

After removing the television from the box my son and I had it up and running in a manner of minutes and were soon enjoying our Blu-ray movies. Since that day I have experienced no problems with it and have no complaints so far. The expected window light glare has not been an issue and the screen is visible even when looking at it from another room. I really believe that this model was worth every penny of the reasonable price that I paid for it.Buy JVC LT47X579 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV!

VIZIO 26-inch VA26L 720p LCD HDTV

I would not recommend this TV. I've owned it less than 4 months and the power will not turn on. The store won't take it back because it's over 90 days and VIZIO is making me pay to have it shipped out to get it fixed - (over $50 plus insurance). IF it was a 32" instead of 26" they would pay for a technician to come out -- it took e two phone calls and three hours to get a customer rep to help me out. Their customer service was poor.
