LG 32LC2D - 32" LCD TV - widescreen - 720p - HD ready - black, dark silver

I like so many others have experienced the Black screen of Death on a LG 47" LCD 1080P flat screen. The TV, for no apparent reason, just goes out even though the power light still shows green. I made the unfortunate mistake of buying this TV from CompUSA (2 weeks ago) who is now out of business. I called LG and reported the problem and they gave me the number of a repair center. When I asked if they have ever heard of this happening to anyone else they told me it was a "Known Issue". I just don't understand how a company can sell products with "Known issues" and then make it the consumers problem. I'm dropping my TV off tomorrow for what I am expecting to be a very long period of time. Good luck to everyone having this problem. This is probably my last LG.

P.S. I must admit though when the TV was working I was very happy with the picture and sound quality. However, the TV actually needs to be functional to give it a good rating. Philips 52PFL5603D/27 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

We purchased the TV in November and by the time we got o January we had problems witht he Picture. Whenever the tv was turned on we would get multitude of little multicolor lined grid of the program we were trying to watch. We woudl have to turn off and turn ont he tv multiple times to get htis to go away. We contacted Phillips and they decided to give us a newer model becasue the part needed for this tv is on backorder and it is not guranteed that it will come in ever.

I wish the problem happened sooner so that I could have returned it to the orignal place of purchase. This will be our first anfd last time buying a Phillips TV.

Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-32S3000 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

I have this in my bedroom. In retrospect, I wish I had waited because prices have come down since my purchase about a year ago or less, but that's the nature of technology. I am fully satisfied except for one minor complaint: the TV on timer (as an alarm for example) only allows you to choose channels to turn on to, instead of input devices (such as my TiVo). This is lame! Otherwise, it is really good and I have no complaints. Buy Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-32S3000 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV!

Westinghouse SK-26H240S 26" LCD HDTV Television with ATSC Tuner

I got this TV for a present, and had very high expectations. Originally, they were met, excellently, as I just used it occasionally, and the hi-def looked great. However, after I began using it more, I discovered that the audio will get off after 20 minutes - unlike the others, on mine, if you shift inputs or change channels, it does not return - you do have to turn the tv on and off. Also, with mine, the audio sync applies to all inputs - try playing Rock band when you have a 2 second sound delay - not fun. I've contacted Westinghouse no less than 10 times about it, as it seems mostly like software problems with it, and they had an update, but took it down - said their webpage wasn't working, and basically told me to shove it. Sadly, I am probably going to buy a Samsung and just use this tv casually again - greatly disappointed. :( I would recommend just buying a better brand of tv, (i.e. Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, etc.) as you'll probably have to buy another one, much like myself, and buying one nice tv is cheaper than a cheap tv, and then a nice tv.Buy Westinghouse SK-26H240S 26" LCD HDTV Television with ATSC Tuner!

Sony KV-27FV17 27" FD Trinitron WEGA Flat-Screen Television with 2-Tuner PIP

I purchased this TV brand new in 2001, and I have enjoyed it ever since. The sound from the stock speakers is pretty good, and the picture quality is second to none. The PIP tuners are very convenient and you can play the sound of the PIP image even though the larger part of the screen is showing something else. The included universal remote rounds out a great product.

I was about to purchase a High-Def tuner/antenna for this TV when I received a brand new 32" Sony LCD TV as a Christmas gift. The first and obvious advantage of LCD TVs are that they are much easier to carry and move around (the larger tube TVs are behemoths and weigh what seems like a ton). Sadly, the old Sony now sits unused on the floor, but it will soon be getting a new home where it will continue to be enjoyed by another family. Sharp LC-32D5U 32-Inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD TV (HD Tunerand Digital Cable Ready)

The TV arrived in horrible condition. I dont know if it was the shipping or what, but the corner of the speaker was broke. The TV turns off by itself after about an hour of watching it. The seller wouldn't get back to me and talk about this. I finally got my money back and tried selling the TV. Turns out the TV was probably stolen. The serial number is gone.
