Toshiba REGZA 42XV540U 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

Got the television and on hooking it up noticed a dark grey vertical line about 1 cm wide in the middle of the picture. Called toshiba, the rep could not resove it over the phone. I asked for a new nondefective replacement. Toshiba refused and said my only recourse was to have it repaired under warranty by our local Toshiba repair facility. They repaired it and the picture and sound are now fine. How long it will last, time will tell. The repair shop said the "panel" was bad and commented how "cheaply" the TV was built.
