I was a bit worried about purchasing a DLP based TV as the LCDs looked sharper in the stores. But since most stores had something pretty crappy hooked up to any DLPs, I checked out the 65" version of this TV in a high-end store where they bothered to set it up right and it looked pretty good. (Still not as sharp as a LCD.)

Now that I've been using the TV for a little while, I can confirm that it provides a picture way sharper than you see in the theatre. In fact, if you don't adjust a few settings in the TV to remove film grain (adjust the sharpness and video noise controls), the film grain can be a bit annoying in some movies.

I liked this monitor enough the first time I bought it to insist on the same model, not the 2007 version, the second time I bought it. The color reproduction on the 2005 series of dell monitors, you may notice, is better than the 2007 series. Though, for truest color reproduction, you should use a CRT.

I use one of these for my Mac Mini (DVI input) and the other for my gaming rig (PC). The response time is super quick, colors are bright and crisp. The only problems I have ever run into is with the odd aspect not being readily recognized on some older versions of linux. Most current versions recognize the 1680 x 1050 pixel aspect.

You may have trouble finding these new anymore, but if you do, it's a good purchase. Also, it supports 90 degree rotation if you want to do some desktop publishing that way. After reading various reviews of under the counter TVs, this one stood out as the best screen, best TV DVD combo and would also be the thinnest. I was very pleased with the TV and the relatively easy install. It worked out very nice and I was very happy with it until the remote broke after about 18 months. That is when the problems started. COBY refuses to use a universal remote code so you cannot buy a universal replacement remote, you have to order a OEM replacement. I had no problem having to spend the extra money, however, the customer service was horrible. I called and left message. No return call. I called again and left message for specific person. NO return call. I called and complained. No return call. Finally after the fourth phone call I was able to speak with the person that told me how to send money and order a replacement remote. Very good TV very poor customer service. If I could find a comparable product elsewhere, I will not choose coby again.

A 26" flat-screen tv that looks and sounds just as well as the larger sets in the market. Fantastic features, super fine image and extra crisp sound--with a great bass and not distortion at higher volumes. The red trim is soothing to the eyes and it was $100.00 cheaper than the other (white and black) Bravias in the market. Over a month after purchasing it, I still prefer to watch shows on this tv instead of the 54" in the living room. Get yourself one. JVC LT47P789 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with iPod TeleDock

I got this TV primarily because of the built in iPod dock and the good price. So far, I'm very impressed.

Picture - After hooking it up to my cable box with an HDMI cable and adjusting some of the settings, the picture is even better than I expected, even on non HD broadcasts. Blacks are black, and no blur from fast motion. The screen does a great job of reducing glare and reflections.

Sound - The sound is adequate. Has 2 speakers with an option for simulated surround sound. The sound is weak compared to a home entertainment system, but about average for a TV. There are several sound settings and can be customized.

Remote - The remote works good and is laid out pretty well. I mostly only use it to to play the ipod, since normally use the remote from the cable company.

iPod Dock - JVC is currently the only TV manufacturer that offers a built in iPod dock. The dock flips down from the front of the TV just below the screen, and gives you the ability to play music or videos from most iPod's through the TV. There is a very limited menu on the TV screen for control of the iPod. For most iPod models the TV screen menu only allows you to: Play music (alphabetically); Shuffle play music; or Play videos. You can also skip forward or back to the next song or video using the remote. More control of the iPod can be done using the TV remote to operate the menus on the iPod itself, or you can manually manipulate the menu on the ipod unit. It would be nice if the full ipod screen appeared on the TV, but it doesn't. Videos from the iPod are not very high quality, so are best viewed in a small screen mode.

Overall - Seems to be a well made TV with a lot of features. I'm very pleased.Buy JVC LT47P789 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with iPod TeleDock!
