Bought one from Target. Try every type of DVDs (retail store bought, region 1, yadda yadda, I'm not stupid), none worked.

Sylvania LC370SS9 37-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

We had no reviews on this tv to read when we went to buy it, the only good lead that we had about the Sylvania brand, was the fact that my Father bought one for his room, a different model, but he loved it. He is a hard man to please, so to get his buy-in is a big deal. We have been very pleased with this TV, it has a great picture quality, and great sound. The size of the TV is perfect, it is not so big that is takes up the whole room, it fits in the corner of our room on the wall giving us the add space we needed.
I think I fell in love with this TV, not only because it is a great deal, but because I saw the Utes beat down on the Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl a few days after buying it!!! Oh baby what a great picture for a great game!!!
Anyway enough said, Great TV, for a great deal!!! Buy Sylvania LC370SS9 37-Inch 720p LCD HDTV!

Sylvania CD130SL8 13-Inch CRT TV/ DVD Combo

Very disappointed in this product. Was trying to replace an older Toshiba 13" (very high quality but no longer available), but this Sylvania product has a terrible 'tinny' sound quality, slightly off-level picture (dips to the right), and a front glass lens with one corner partially pushed in (improperly set? poor quality control?). Emerson 32" LCD HDTV

We bought this TV just before Christmas and just love it. It has a great picture and works well with our cable tv connection. We had difficulty at first setting it up because it wants to set the channels itself, so be sure and set it to manual before you begin. We called Emerson for help and they were very genial and helpful. As the other rater said, it does not sinc with my cable remote, but that seems the only drawback to us. Buy Emerson 32" LCD HDTV!

I got mine about 6 months ago after much comparison shopping.The cabinet is slim but,put together like a tank.You can feel the quality and admire the beauty of the cabinet while setting up.I have dish network hd and cannot believe the depth and clarity of the picture on this LG set. The unit looks like a fine piece of piano furniture in my tv room.The set-up is a snap with hdmi or analog cables and pretty much is ready to run right out of the huge box.The remote is set up decently however,with all the components I chose the logitec 880 remote to simlify things.Whether its satalite,dvd,dvr,blue-ray.the pictue looks almost 3-d. My friends all have big screen,most of them dlp and they always come to my house to watch the big game or movie. The TV is superior to any other 60''+ tv i reviewed. The picture is flawless and leave your guests speechless when they watch their first HD football game! It comes with 3 HDMI connections, more than its competitors. Set up was EASY. MY only complaint was that the factory presets for color/brightness were poor. This was easily fixed by getting settings online. Although I received this TV from Amazon in a timely manner, it was extremely difficult contacting a live person at Amazon to address shipping and delivery concerns. After 2 days of emails and aggravation I was able to obtain the Amazon phone number. Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 52XF550U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

I have to echo what's already been said here; the gloss of the screen is less than you'd find on a plasma but a little more than on the matte LCD's, though the only LCD sets that I think are actually comparable to this one are the higher-end Samsung and Sony panels, and they both have glossier screens than this Toshiba.

Black levels are stunning, especially for an LCD. Hi-definition sources such as Blu-ray discs are absolutely amazing on this set, the image has that 3D feel to it and the colors definitely pop, though you'll need to fix the settings to get things accurate and to make movies, especially hi-def movies, really shine.

Upscaled DVD from my PS3 looks mostly superb, though discs with poor source transfers can't be helped all that much.

Games from the PS3 look amazing as well, it's a huge upgrade from my old Sony 720p RPTV (LCoS), a KDF-46E2000, which was a damn nice set in its own right. The images, games and films are just a great deal sharper and have more of a life-like feel to them...the extra 6" of diagonal screen size doesn't hurt either.

After a couple of months of researching LCD televisions, I narrowed my search to Sony, Samsung, Visio and LG.
I saw models of the first 3 brands that I was interested in, but couldn't find a store that carried the LG Scarlet........until I visited Conn's when they were advertising a lower end LG model at a really great price.
I was checking that one out and just wasn't that pleased with it.....and then I noticed right above it was the LG 47LG60 Scarlet. It was hands down the most attractive of all the televisions with an awesome picture.

Philips 47PFL7403D/F7 47-Inch 1920 x 1080p LCD HDTV (Black)

I bought this TV as a floor model from Costco for [...] (with a 2 year warrany included!) and on Black Friday I bought the Sony Blue-Ray BDP-BX1 [...]. Yah, I made out! Look around, besides Amazon's current pricing, I would have paid double. The picture is incredible. The sound if fine, but good for the speakers being in the back for asthetics. Besides, you want a Yahama sound system to go with something like this anyhow. The framing is gorgeous with a glass look to it. The base swivels. The TV sits higher on the base than most. The Auto picture feature bounces back and forth a lot, but you get use to that. They could improve with a newer firmware update than 1.15 to lock in the auto feature. All-in-all, you would waste you money on anything else, unless the deal is better. I have owned it for 90 days now and was debating on returning it at Cosco before the 90 days are up if I had problems or there was something better out there or the reviews from others were bad due to problems they were experiencing. I have been all over the web and I think we are unanymous in saying it is an amazing TV!!! I struck gold on this deal and am keeping for years to come. This is one fantastic TV! I have had it for about a month now and have enjoyed every minute. The picture is sharp (really deep blacks) and the 120Hz technology really does make a difference. I was amazed at the lack of pixelation, especially when watching sports and blu-rays. I bought this and a sony bdp 350 from Amazon Warehouse Deals (both open box units) and each has performed beautifully. They shipped free and INCREDIBLY fast.
