Westinghouse TX-47F430S 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

DO NOT! REPEAT; DO NOT BUY THIS TV!! I own several large screen LCD TVs all within the $1500 - $1800 range. This TV is no comparison to their picture quality or any other performance category. I bought this TV because of the low price and placed it in a room that is seldom used for TV viewing so high picture quality was not the objective. However, any TV should at least be reliable regardless of price. After 4 months of very infrequent use, the TV simply would no longer turn on. Although frustrating, matters became horrible when dealing and negotiating with the Westinghouse Contact Center for repair services. Without going into the ugly details, all I can say is that it took me THREE MONTHS to finally get Westinghouse to stand behind their product. Ultimately I substituted the TV during this ordeal and realized that I should have made the alternative competitive purchase (only for $180 more) in the first place. I can't tell you how upseting it is/was to learn later that almost everybody had the same problem, in otherwords a manufactured defect associated with the powersave mode. The bottomline is that this is a "low budget" TV; "Low Quality" Picture; and "Low Quality" Service. There are too many good LCD TV alternatives in this price range and for a little more money, substantially better products in all measureable categories. If the picture quality or anything else were better, I would at least say that it might be worth the try as an entry level LCD TV set. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. We have a toddler who is autistic and his biggest compulsion is to PRESS BUTTONS!! We purchased this TV online and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The buttons for changing channels/volume are hidden on the top of the televsion! Very cool. I'd say the clarity of this television would rate a 4 on a scale of 5. Zenith Z19LCD3 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

Purchased this little Zenith for my dad since he was still looking for a TV with the Zenith name. LG makes the line now, but still the same great Zenith picture quality. Dad loves it, thinking about getting one for myself. Great connectivity, it has every input you'd ever want, computer, HDTV, composite, RGB, and over the air analog and digital tuner.

Magnavox 19MD357B 19-Inch LCD HDTV with Built In DVD Player

I bought this TV/DVD combo exactly 1 year ago to use in my bedroom. It was a fairly easy set-up and the picture quality was fine. However, this TV has a very annoying feature: EVERY time you change the channel, a pop-up menu shows up, and there is NO way to get rid of this. (I checked the Magnavox website to make sure.)

About a week or so ago, the TV started acting up. Right after turning it on, it would make a loud blaring noise, sort of like the severe weather alert on TV stations - but louder - and then shut off. Usually the picture quality went bad, too. Then the TV would turn itself back on.

Over the past week, it has gone through this shut off-come on cycle more and more, sometimes taking about 5 cycles before it would stay on.

After googling this issue online, I see it's a common problem with Magnavox TVs, so I've now ordered a Toshiba. Once that arrives, I'm just tossing the Magnavox in the trash. What a disappointment.Buy Magnavox 19MD357B 19-Inch LCD HDTV with Built In DVD Player!

Philips 42PFL7403D/F7 42-Inch 1920 x 1080p LCD HDTV (Black)

I did not buy this product from Amazon, but from Sam's Club during Black Friday. They had it for sale at 799.00. I looked at all 42" LCD TVs they had for sale from all the big stores and found this one which was cheap at the time. I figured you can't go wrong with a Phillips and the pricing was at least $100 less than the any other model except they did have a JVC for the same price. I decided to go with the Phillips because of better past experiences with Phillip products. I do not regret it one bit. The picture is very clear when watching Blu-ray. My ps3 games also look awesome. The best thing is that I have a 5.1 logitech surround sound system from my pc which only has 70 Watts and cost me $50, but when I connected it to my TV, my movies come to life! I can make my two-story house rumble and I don't even need to turn it all the way up. When I have friends over, they think I have an expensive surround sound system and I just laugh. Olevia 327V 27-Inch LCD HD Ready Monitor

I spent under $400 on this over a year ago. It was a "little TV" to watch while on the bike or rowing machine.
- Plugged into the TiVo the lack of tuner was no problem!

Recently my main TV has died, so this little guy has been promoted to the front-room. It's doing pretty well too.
- The single component input is a nuisance. I had to dig up a component switchbox, so either the DVR or XBOX can feed it.
