I purchased this TV a week ago. It arrived on a Friday; I took it out of the packaging and put it on the stand on Saturday; I went through the menus and set it up on Sunday; and Monday the screen wouldn't come on (and hasn't come on since).

I opened a service ticket with Samsung with my warranty: they sent a tech out to my house to replace the system board, which had no effect. So I'm now waiting on a replacement DMD board, but they're out of stock, so this may be a while.

VIZIO 37" 1080p VO37LF HDTV - VO37LFHDTV10A

I purchased this Vizio 37" 1080p HDTV about a week ago... I watch it everyday in my living room and still find myself amazed at the picture quality. I have another 4-yr old HDTV (different brand) that is a little smaller (32") and less resolution (720) and the difference is very significant.
I never thought there would be such a noticeable difference in picture sharpness and response time, but there is. The Vizio can't be beat!
I recommend this Vizio to anyone who wants top quality picture at a decent price. The audio on this TV is also satisfactory. As a matter of fact, I have not had the time to hook up my home theater system yet, but the sound is just fine as is. I may not even bother with the home theater at all...
By the way, I did use the HDMI one-cable hook up between the cable HD/DVR box and the TV -- it was a pleasure to get things up and running in about 30 seconds without miles of tangled connectors.

Sony's 19-inch Bravia TV produces an outstanding picture in HD, but it is the sound quality that distinquishes it from the other very good TVs. This set replaces a 12 year 15-inch Sony, that sits on a kitchen counter, and we wanted the new HD set to have the same rich, warm sound. Other small screen sets seemed to have the tiny, cheap speaker sound. The remote is very user friendly and easy to use.

But there is one knockdown. Although the screen is only 19-inch, the wide frame makes the set much bigger. The set is kept upright by a small leg in the back, very unstable. Buy Sony Bravia M-Series KDL-19M4000/L 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, White with Blue Accent!

Unfortunately, Sony has stopped making this product. The TV function on my first one wouldn't transfer from the CD to TV (locked up and was apparently not repairable???), and I finally found another one on the internet as is the TV that I use most. The radio and CD player still play fine on the first unit. This under-counter TV has an EXCELLENT picture. It is in my kitchen, and I use it daily. No other under-counter unit had good reviews when I bought the first or second Sony. Toshiba 36AF41 36" FST Pure Flat Screen TV

The Toshiba 36AF41 is a 36" HDTV stereo television. It gives a beautiful picture and using the S-Video input from your DVD player is stunning.

The TV provides a couple of video connectors, a couple of ColorStream inputs and a couple of output ports. For the highest possible picture quality, you can use the ColorStream connection between your TV and DVD player. If your component is not ColorStream compatible, then use the S-Video connection.

Toshiba 32D47 32-inch SuperTube CRT TV

I've always liked Toshiba CRTs--the picture and contrast are unbeatable when you watch Standard Definition stuff. Unless you have a reason to go with a flat-screen that is HD-capable (that reason being that you have an HD source), don't think twice and get this TV. The image quality is unbelievable--the sound is great. It's easy to use and will last you a long time. Don't get a warranty--you won't need it.Buy Toshiba 32D47 32-inch SuperTube CRT TV!

Sharp Aquos LC32GP3UB 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Black)

I am extremely pleased with the overall quality of this television. While it is a bit on the pricey side for a 32", the quality of the picture (in both SD and HD) is amazing. I purchased mine refurbished, saving a few hundred dollars, but it is worth the money.

Pros:

Superior SD and HD quality picture
Wonderful viewing angles - No picture degradation
Good audio for an LCD
3 HDMI inputs (including one on the side of the unit, which is helpful for wall mounting, which I have done)
Tons of options for adjusting the picture settings
Great design
1080p

Cons:
A bit pricey for the 32" size (Some of the 1080p 32" sets are now around $750)
Power up time and input changing speed are average

It is hard to find a TV larger than 22" with a white bezel, and this is the only option out there that isn't several years old.
