I have this Samsung 23" LCD HDTV. I purchased it for a Bedroom and Love everything about it. I did alot of looking around at different brands etc of LCD Televisions and found Samsung had the best Picture Quality. Also Consumer Reports said some good things about Samsung that impressed me... I also had my Uncle who lives several houses down from me purchase a new Samsung Television. His is a 37" LCD HDTV... The Quality that Samsung has been producing is awesome and also the Quality.
I Love the Sound that the 23" set produces. It is so good and when I have a DVD playing it really makes a differance.

Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR4 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I've owned this 52 inch LCD tv Since May 2008 from an authorized Sony dealer. Its initial quality was nothing less than spectacular. Deep blacks. No bleeding. Exceptional clarity. Breathtaking colors. It was registered for warranty the same day online with Sony's website.

Over the last three weeks, I noticed SEVERE bleeding of the blacks during any tv or movie and when it's a blank screen. I've seen an odd double blur around actors and objects (artifacting?). It does Not leave a trail like ghosting. I've tried switching all of my video/audio equipment without success.

I called Sony to come out to repair. They blew me off for three weeks. After getting tired of my 3 times a day calling, they sent a guy out. He said YES my problems were legitimate... BUT IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! I am extremely upset at Sony and their business practice. A friend of mine has the 42" version and is beginning to show the same faults. He bought a third party warranty and got his tv repaired. Is this the beginning of SONY's fall from grace? Check their tanking stock price and see how much money they lost for fiscal year 2008. Samsung LNT4061F 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I purchased a Samsung LNT 4061F last March 2008. I loved it at first, but recently noticed faint glimpes of 'burn-in'. I called customer service at Samsung only to find that 'burn-in' is not covered by the warranty. I have had this TV for only 10 months and was surprised to find that Samsung does not stand behind its products. There are two faint purple rectangles on the screen caused by messages that the TV produces. For example, messages (such as 'HDMI 1') rountinely appear on the screen in bright blue for a few seconds in the upper left corner of the TV, but the rectangle stays forever. There is another rectangle in the center of my TV where other messages appear. Customer Service at Samsung basically stated it was my fault for allowing the messages to stay on too long; this is absurd.

Buyer beware -- the one year warranty does not cover burn-in; the Samsung rep stated, "It would cheaper to buy another TV". I paid over $1100 for this thing. Never, no never will I buy another Samsung. Buy Samsung LNT4061F 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV!

Sony Bravia M-Series KDL-19M4000/P 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, White with Pink Accent

Sony's 19-inch Bravia TV produces an outstanding picture in HD, but it is the sound quality that distinquishes it from the other very good TVs. This set replaces a 12 year 15-inch Sony, that sits on a kitchen counter, and we wanted the new HD set to have the same rich, warm sound. Other small screen sets seemed to have the tiny, cheap speaker sound. The remote is very user friendly and easy to use.

Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 46XF550U 46-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

I purchased the Toshiba 46XF550U from Amazon in late November. The TV arrived in pristine condition in the expected delivery window. For the first week I was waiting for HD to be installed and was forced to watch SD programming. I think that the Toshiba does a very good job handling SD signals and looked great via Direct TV. The picture was very clear and after initial setup looked much, much better than I expected. Even after stretching the screen out using one of the Theater modes.
I had a friend come by with his Xbox360(yeah, I don't have one) and the games were AMAZING! He said numerous times how he was able to see details that he had not seen before. The game intros were incredible as well. Using an Upconverting DVD player I was able to view the TV display in 1080p. Absolutely blows you away! Definitely get the most of standard DVDs.
Once the HD upgrade was complete I realized TV viewing BLISS! The picture is very good right out of the box with very little picture adjustment required. Like most all new TVs there a a few basic tweaks to make, but after that, AHHHHHHHH!!! Watching all of the playoff football this year has been much more enjoyable because of the brilliant picture quality of my new Toshiba LCD HDTV. Samsung LNT1954H 19-Inch LCD HDTV White

Don't pay too much attention to the negative reviews. I bought this refurbished TV from Amazon in May and have it mounted on the bedroom wall. Picture (SD/HD) and SRS sound are good. Start-up is a little slow, around 10 sec. Also manual touch controls are a little sensitive, takes a while to get used to. You can always use the remote, which works fine. Remote must have RF, since I can point it at the opposite wall and it still works. Shop around, go for this 2007 model if you can get it for $300 or less. Otherwise, get the L19A331 model.

Useful tip: for wall mount, top of TV should not be more than a couple of inches above eye level. Otherwise, picture will be a little dark.Buy Samsung LNT1954H 19-Inch LCD HDTV White!

Philips 52PFL7422D/37 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

i bought this television about a month ago. i bought a refurbished from the manufacturer for a greatly reduced cost ($1,400) but that's beside the point. the television is great for the cost even if you buy it new from Amazon -- a nice price as well. the first thing i'd do is go to AVS forums and search for this television to get the various setting codes for the picture. that'll save you a lot of time. next, get a surround sound system as the speakers on this television are barely adequate (i went with Onkyo and am happy). a universal remote is a must (Logitech Harmony is the way to go -- again, i bought a 659 refurbished here on Amazon for about $40 -- great remote).

i sit about 11 - 12 feet away and we play the Wii from about 8 feet. both seem just right. i watched the NCAA tourney in HD last week and the Master's Golf tourney this week. i notice that the standard definition channels don't look very good. in fact, i think my old television upstairs looks much better on standard definition. so i am only watching HD programming on this LCD. if i had to watch a lot of standard definition programming then i probably wouldn't have bought this television and i might have given it 3 or 4 stars instead. on the other hand, the deal was too good to pass up and HD looks just terrific.Buy Philips 52PFL7422D/37 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV!

Toshiba REGZA 26HL67 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

I purchased this TV on August 1, 2007. A year later, the TV would not always power on. The instructions advise resetting the TV by holding the on/off button down for five seconds. This generally took care of the problem. Last week, the TV would not power on at all and would not reset. Repairs to the TV are $484, over 75% of the cost of the TV. Like others who have written about this TV, the TV has a faulty power board, apparently a problem with this TV. I bought this PIECE OF GARBAGE television in February 2007 because it seemed like a good deal. The first one had to be returned because the remote didn't work NOR did the sleep timer and clock on the television. I spent 2 hours on the phone with their customer service trying to get it to work only to have the rep at SpectronIQ/PROTRON say "sorry, I cant help you". I brought it back to the store and got another one. The new one has an ok picture but AGAIN the REMOTE has some buttons that don't work. I called SpectronIQ/PROTRON customer service on February 15, 2007 and Marvin promised to send me a new remote. After waiting 2 weeks I call again and Jack says it will be sent in 5 days. Called back again and was told by Terrance it would be sent in 3 days, call back if I don't receive it and they will overnight it. I call back again and talk to the same guy named Terrance and he now says "we don't overnight anything, wait another 3 days, I guarantee it will be there". I call again and Terrance yet again says "wait 5 more days it should be there by then". Here we are March 26, 2007 and STILL NO REMOTE!!! THEY ARE a bunch of LIARS!!!! The MOST UNPROFESSIONAL MICKEY MOUSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I finally get thru to a manager today named William (they always tell you that there are no managers to take calls). William says call back in 2 hours and I will have an answer for you. I call back in 2 hours and GUESS WHAT of course he now says "call back in 3 weeks and we should be able to send you one by then. If we don't send one in 3 weeks call us back." When I asked for an address to write a letter they simply say just send it to our P.O. Box with no attention to any department because they are not sure who would get a letter of complaint...This company SpectronIQ was formerly known as Protron Digital Corp and I think they changed their name because they had too many complaints of poor quality. I wonder how long they will go as SpectronIQ before they go out of business! What good is getting a low price on a TV if it doesn't work right and customer service is a joke!!!!
